After having briefly worked at an art gallery, I stayed in contact with a number of artists with whom I had worked during my time at the gallery. One of these artists is Salah Elmur. After having freelanced with him for a few of his exhibitions, he approached me to write a book which would be sponsored and funded by two galleries in London - Vigo Gallery and Gallery 1957.

And so, ‘Memories From a Tin Box’ is an art book about the life, inspirations and artworks of Sudanese artist Salah Elmur.

It is a book I co-wrote with Michael Obert, published in February 2023.
